UK 8-ball pool - Gotta be Selby, he's an ex champ aint he.
US 8-ball pool - Ronnie, cause he never has any luck or flukes
US 9-ball pool - Higgins....opposite of above
3 Cushion Billiards - Angles McManus.....god i hated that nickname

It's a tough one.
You'd have to think Mark Selby would be the best UK 8-ball player and following on from that he's bound to be good at the US version too.
I would also fancy him to be decent at 3 cushion with the way he thinks around the table. Although O'Sullivan would probably be the best snooker player at that particular sport.
O'Sullivan for 9 ball too as he has the cue ball on a string most of the time.
What about straight billiards? John Higgins? I reckon Ebdon would be pretty good also.
US 8-ball = tactically astute
3 cushion = knowledge of the angles
US 9-ball = positional play
billiards = same as 3 cushion but with potting more prominent
UK 8-ball = horrible little game!

Alex Higgins should have had a Great 9 Ball pool career after Snooker but he never went for it.
looking at 9 Ball players they jump all over the place like Alex is at snooker.
