Not Dott. I’ve got a feeling you got the correct logic but somehow picked the wrong player.

Graham Miles

Stephen Lee

Not Miles or Lee.

Iranu, how did you get to Dott?

And how did Alf get to Willie?

“Meep meep!”

BOOOM!!!

Roadrunner's meep meep was voiced by Paul JUlian.
The Reti gambit is a fairly well-known gambit in chess.

Ju Reti is a top Chinese amateur who was a pro for a couple of years in the mid 10s. He played in the Champion of Champions one year.

Edit: or possibly the PTC Grand finals, can't remember which one.

You’re going faaaar too deep into this.

Ok, final clue. Think nicknames.

Hmmm. No. I thought you had the correct coyote, but maybe not.

This is really much simpler than you think.

Re: 2 Word Clue

How many coyotes are there other than Wyle E.?

Ryan Day

Finally! rofl

Wyle E Coyote’s gambit, or strategy, was often using dynamite…

Ryan ‘Dynamite’ Day. Is that nickname less popular than I thought, maybe? :chin:

Anyway, all yours <ok>

Re: 2 Word Clue

And yeah, reading that again you did have the right Coyote. Apologies :hatoff:

Re: 2 Word Clue

Postby Iranu

I don’t know if I’ve ever heard him called that. Had to use the player nicknames Wiki.

I thought I was well-versed in snooker nicknames, but I don't remember ever hearing that one.

Re: 2 Word Clue

Huh. You’ll be telling me you haven’t heard of John ‘Hardman’ Higgins and Steve ‘Deathgrip’ Davis next

Iranu is correct over to you :)

Re: 2 Word Clue

Knotted Reform

Re: 2 Word Clue

Ken Doherty? Or maybe Dott?

I’m coming up with an amalgamation of the two :chin:

Re: 2 Word Clue

Postby Iranu

Not Ken Dott or Graeme Doherty <laugh>

Re: 2 Word Clue

Postby Iranu

It’s not David Taylor but while that name is nowhere near I don’t think you’re a million miles from finding the first stage of clue 1.

The above may not be helpful

Re: 2 Word Clue

Postby Prop

Is it John Higgins?

Tied is a synonym of knotted, reform could suggest an anagram. An anagram of tied is diet, and the first player that springs to mind is Higgins, who’s recently lost a bit of weight with diet and exercise.

Nice logic but it’s not Higgins. You’ve identified the first stage of clue 1 though

So… the word ‘tied’ is pertinent? Or just that we’re looking for a synonym of ‘knotted’?

I was thinking of a bowline knot, and Li Wenbo is an anagram of bowline, which is close.
