I assume it’s the Cormac McCarthy book but I’ve got nothing.

Someone other than McCarthy wrote a similarly titled, and incredibly well-known book.

Not Jack Karnehm.
I thought I had it. There is a book on Amazon called The Road authored by Jack London. Jack Lisowski doesn't come from London, but Jack Karnehm did.

Jackson Page?
‘Jack’s on page’ maybe referring to the fact Kerouac’s book On The Road was about his own travels in America, and narrated by himself as the character Sal Paradise.

I don’t think anyone will need clues for this one. It’s pretty simple.

Aargh! I should not have answered because I don't have one ready and am up to my eyes in a project at the moment.
I will have a think and come back shortly.

This should be nice and easy too, if it doesn't violate the rules for not technically being words.

Ash Carty?
K is the chemical symbol of potassium > aka potash > Ash that pots
Car T > Carty
Not sure about the car bit. Unless there’s a tenuous link to the Ford Ka and the K serves two functions.
