Correct. Jones was 9-1 and 60-0, but only won 10-7.

Correct. Jones was 9-1 and 60-0, but only won 10-7.

And now Yu Delu is 6 years into a 10 year ban!

I’m going to have a stab at Wayne Jones beating Neal Foulds in a deciding frame. Late 80s

Good try but not the one. That match from ‘89 was a pretty turgid affair mind, Jones making a 61 break, the highest of the contest, to win the decider.

Motor Bike man must be Steve James again :chin:

So Alex Higgins v Steve James, 1990?

The match included a sixteen red clearance and Higgins sitting quietly in the arena afterwards sipping vodka & oranges whilst the tables were covered and the Crucible emptied. Then he assaulted a Tournament Official on the way to his Press Conference, and announced he was walking away from snooker.

But he was back after a season-long ban; it didn’t get any better though

All correct, of course. I think that was too easy… I just chucked that one in after 8 pints of strongbow…

Inaugural final of a newly established (though short-lived) tournament that was conceived by Barry Hearn as a ‘new major’. The major hook for this first edition was that it carried the biggest prize in the sport, with £100,000 going to the winner.

The two finalists also went on to contest the World final that season.

World Grand Prix final between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Ding Junhui 2018? I don't know if it was in London though.
