I got confused too :dizzy:

Still not sure which one was correct :chin:

Anyway…

This Ranking final featured two players who would go on to hit the very heights of the sport; the younger man, in his first major final, would win it; for his opponent it was a second defeat in three Rankkng finals to date, but there was plenty of glory around the corner for him…

Two future World Champions involved.

The tournament used to be part of the BBC’s mythical ‘Grand Slam’, before it’s demise led to the creation of the equally mythical (though now ‘official’) Truple Cruen.

John Higgins vs Ronnie O'Sullivan 1995 Grand Prix final? I'm not certain if they met in a Grand Prix final then but it's an ambitious attempt.

English Amateur Final…
A future world professional champion came a cropper against a man who could then be described as the people’s champion of his day. The match was played before a huge crowd of 1,300, in a 3-session match. The victor had recovered from 4 down with 5 to play in his semi-final against another future world professional champion.

The frame score was 9-6 to player B and a controversial refereeing decision was about to occur.

It is a 1990s Crucible match, but Alex Higgins wasn't involved!
