Oh, you're nothing but a Johnny-come-lately. I first heard of her five or six days ago.

Here we go then. Today's theme is geometry (no particular reason). Some quite easy ones, so whoever gets in first could get themselves a decent lead:

1. Pull Shapes
2. Cubik
3. Pyramid Song
4. Everybody Is A Star
5. Circlesquare
6. Squares
7. Ion Square
8. Bizarre Love Triangle
9. The Second Line
10. Pressure Point

8 is New Order and 2 is 808 State, but 4 isn't Primal Scream. Still, two out of three ain't bad, in the immortal words of Meatloaf.

Is 5 The Wonderstuff?

Yes to both!

But no to Madonna I'm afraid (not generally, just in this instance).

As it stands:

1. Pull Shapes - The Pipettes (HappyCamper)
2. Cubik - 808 State (Prop)
3. Pyramid Song - Radiohead (HappyCamper)
4. Everybody Is A Star
5. Circlesquare - The Wonderstuff (KrazeeEyezKilla)
6. Squares
7. Ion Square
8. Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order (Prop)
9. The Second Line
10. Pressure Point - The Zutons (KrazeeEyezKilla)

Beats me. I'm not very good on lyrics, I've always listened to music for well, the music. Maybe that's why I've never really "got" stuff like Dylan, Leonard Cohen, etc.

Time for some quick clues? Yes, it is that time.

4. (Everybody Is A Star) Highly influential American funk/soul band of the late 1960s/early 1970s.
6. (Squares) Scottish rock/folk/electronica band of the late 1990s/early 2000s.
7. (Ion Square) English indie band active since the early 2000s, name sounds like a community celebration.
9. (The Second Line) English rock band active since the late 1990s, name sounds like somewhere you might have medical treatment.

Bloc Party and Beta Band are correct. Stop Inc. is not.

1. Pull Shapes - The Pipettes (HappyCamper)
2. Cubik - 808 State (Prop)
3. Pyramid Song - Radiohead (HappyCamper)
4. Everybody Is A Star
5. Circlesquare - The Wonderstuff (KrazeeEyezKilla)
6. Squares - The Beta Band (Prop)
7. Ion Square - Bloc Party (Iranu)
8. Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order (Prop)
9. The Second Line
10. Pressure Point - The Zutons (KrazeeEyezKilla)

Prop moves into a narrow lead but (technically) anyone can still win this.

Correct! You're now 3-3 with Prop. But KrazeeEyezKilla can still outright and Iranu can force a three-way tie. How exciting!

been racking my brain for the last clue.

i know there is a band called hospital, but they're american. so can't be them.

there was an artist called clinic on the hallam foe soundtrack. i know nothing else about them. so that's is my best guess.

Well done to HappyCamper, unlucky Prop, thought you were going to do it there, and well played to everyone! Now over to our winner for some more niche alternative cuts.
