Correct! I was quite surprised when I first found out that it was a Holland/Dozier/Holland composition. Not successful when it was released in 1967 but became a hit a few years later due to it being a big track on the Northern Soul scene, of course.

Not Steve Mac. The Mac in Annie's DJ name is short for MacManus, but that's not going to help with the name of no. 8. And as I'm sure you know, she's no relation to Alan.

I know Annie Mac's husband had a show on Radio 1 during the night.

His first name makes him sound as though he is far too young to be a DJ. He doesn't have a second name, just an initial.
