Mike Hallett is from Grimsby - for some reason, a hotbed of snooker - and is one of the correct answers <ok>

Tony Knowles is from Bolton, which is not on the east coast, in Yorkshire (perish the thought!) or Birmingham, so he is incorrect. :sad:

Great guy David, played him at Pontins 1974,guest comp winner v Pro.He gave me 50 and beat me 2_1 on the worst table I've seen to this day,.What was David Taylor highest break that day,nearest upto mid session interval tonight wins

Sorry for delay, got year wrong to,was1977 not that makes any difference. It was the worst table, David had ever seen, Some cleaner had the bright idea to moppit that morning so not only wet but a strange shade of mushy peas.prop nearest,Taylor managed 49 I made a 19 to win second frame,gave me 20 minutes coaching after,great guy.
