Interesting to see how far off the predictions about how Chinese football would develop were. It's pretty much 20 years to the day since China's first World Cup and at the time I thought both them and Japan who made their debut four years earlier would become regulars. Japan did but China haven't been back since. It's shows how premature it is to predict China dominating Snooker.
