2017 Paul Hunter Classic - Stadthalle, Fürth
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Paul_Hunter_ClassicDespite not making a century break in the whole competition, Michael White beat Mark Selby and later Shaun Murphy in the final to claim his second ranking title.
It was a low-scoring tournament generally, with only Mark Joyce, Jamie Jones, Gary Wilson, Ben Woollaston and Barry Pinches making more than one century break. This was perhaps mainly due to the vast majority of the top professionals not entering. 19 of the top 32 did not take part, and from the top 16, only Selby, Murphy, Bingham and Kyren Wilson played.
The opportunity was there for some of the lower-ranked players to gain some valuable prize money and ranking points, and Mitchell Mann took most advantage, reaching the semi-finals. To do so, he got past 3 amateur players, Daniel Wells and Mark Joyce, and was rewarded with 4,500GBP
