Played in Doha, Qatar. This event comprises a series of tournaments. Besides the main championship, there are junior, senior, women's, team events.

Ali is 31 years old from Qatar. But this tournament doesn't carry a professional tour card.

The standard of the best players was pretty high. There were 12 century breaks. The highest was 141 by Deng Haohui, who scored 5 centuries altogether, but typically, he crashed out in the semi-finals.

The teams competition finished today. There were 23 teams, in 8 groups, with top 2 qualifying for the last-16. Each team had two players, with singles and doubles frames.

The 6-Red Event concluded today. There were 54 entrants, drawn into 14 groups, with the top two qualifying to the last 32 stage (the highest performing group winners getting a bye into the L16).

The congress continues with a Women's event (25 players), and a Seniors' event (69 players), followed by a Billiards event.

Remarkably, Bai Yulu and Ng On Yee got drawn in the same group. Bai won 2:0 with a break of 80 in the first frame.
