A bit like the 08 semi between Carter and Perry. They are essentially playing for runner up.

They have both shown good form but I think Hawkins' consistency will be too much for Walden.
I pick him to win 17-13.

It may come down to which one is least scared of being in The World Final.

Kind of agree. Hawkins slight favourite. Slight. He's beaten bigger names along the way.
But it's hard to judge. It's a big game for both of them, I can see them both being nervous with a place in the biggest match in the year at stake. Whoever holds their bottle the most, wins the game.
Wouldn't it be a massive story if Hawkins or Walden took the title?

Didn't somebody's phone go off in that match and put Perry off at a crucial part?

Is that a match-fixing allegation?

I fancy Walden will have more in his tank to beat Hawkins. I fancy Hawkins to have a session where he completely hits the wall.

We all thought Robertson and Selby, the 2 most consistent players of the season would battle it out for a place in the final.
But now it's Ricky Walden vs Barry Hawkins. Last year that could have been a last 32 match. Amazing.

Hawk has brushed aside 3 tough opponets with ease showing no weakness
walden has a dip in each match and that will cost him IMO
COME ON THE HAWK

He's been slightly more consistent than Walden this week, I feel.
But it's a semi-final, a big match. It'll come down to who lets the nerves affect them the least.

I think that how the other match progresses may have an influence on this one.
If Ronnie is in full flow and beating Judd easily they will feel less pressure, that they are just playing for runner up spot. But if Judd gives it everything and Ronnie wobbles losing a long hard match then I think the winner of this match could have a chance!
