The offender is given a 7 point foul, but the 147 break will still count as normal.

If the striker touched the cue ball though, then he would be stuck on 140 and his opponent awarded 7 points.

So, the possibility to save your opponent's maximum by catching the cue ball before it drops in the pocket, is still on :-)

Let's make it more funny. If a fan from the crowd invades in and does the same, is the maximum "alive"?

P.S. Sorry :-D. All that began from a football video that i was watching with a mate, where a ball boy behind the goal, invades in and kicks the ball away before it passes the line...
