Well, regardless, of whether Ding/Ronnie wins this match or lose it. I've formed two conclusions for the rest of the season.
Concerning my favourite player: I'm sure that Ronnie definitely wins one big title this season, but to win more than one is difficult as my second conlusion will explain why.
We have four big players atm (Ding, Robertson, Selby, O'Sullivan) and I think, we will have many matches between them this season. Atm they are ahead of everyone and Ding probably best of them atn. I think, they will share many titles among themselves. The only two players who could be dangerous to break their dominance are probably Trump and Allen. Higgins is a legend and come back anytime but can't see it atm.
What do you think about my two conclusions?

Fluke for Ronnie. Good pressure pot on the black, that was an all or nothing shot and he had no choice than to play it.

Have to disagree about Allen. I think he just falls short against the really top players in bigger events. Maybe Marco, but he can be wildly inconsistent.

Spot on, as always TR, very good analysis.

Ronnie breaks down on 47. Still plenty for Ding but all the reds are awkward.

Should be 4:5. Now it will be interesting. As Snooker Overdrive has written, if this goes into the decider Ronnie will be the favourite here.

5-4. The initial red was a fluke but everything else is deserved.

If it goes to a decider I for one wouldn't be so certain, yes Ronnie will have the momentum but Ding has shown over this last couple of motnhs, and in deciders too, that he can keep a cool head and produce frame winning breaks under the most pressure, like the IC final against Fu.

It's just a joy to see Ronnie giving it a 100%. He believes he can win this and he's not shying away from big shots.

Another fluke. This will annoy Ding as Ronnie had position on brown and potted it.

Almost Magsesque reaction there. At least he didn't play a hasty safety like Mags does.

SO and TR, even if Ronnie loses, his will to win and giving it 100% in this match is enough for me really.
Although I'd like him to win of course.

Decider alert. Think Ronnie will take it. Looks like Ding will fail against Ronnie yet again.

Even if Ronnie wins this match, the fact Ding gave him such a scare on the back of Selby's win in Antwerp bodes well for the future of snooker
