There are too many Ronnie fans. We need more Selby fans (and fans of other players).

Hendry in his teen years next
Just keeps getting better and better. Mind you, I can't help but feel they wouldn't show all these features had the Ronnie v Bingo match gone for longer, but anyway, nice that they do, it only finishes at about 5.15 so plenty still left.

Hendry had some real flair as a teenager, didn't he?

Definately, and he started playing at a older age of 13 compared to others who start at 5 or 6, so that just shows how much talented he was because as he said as soon as he picked up a cue it all came so natural to him and later on he was already competing with the likes of Davis, Taylor, Higgins, Hallet, Griffiths and so on...

yup he could pot any ball from any angle or length but his breakbuilding was lacking though but he was so single minded nothing else mattered other than to Beat Steve Davis and be the Best and he worked hard to achieve that.

Anyway, back to the Final, I agree with Wild earlier, had Bingo gone 6-3 up, in a way that could put more pressure on him because he had everything to lose and Ronnie might have come out all guns blazzing.
As it is, with only a 1 frame lead, he knows he can't relax so will try his hardest right from the off, so Ronnie too has to take that into consideration.
I expect Ronnie to prevail, but might be a lot lot closer than most expected.

yea picking up a cue at 13 and Winning a Ranking title at 18 if that's not natural i don't know what is.

i think Ronnie might win 6 straight frames tonight and win i think he took stu for granted a bit going in to the session and its tough to change a mind set mid session...tonight he wont make that mistake.

Agree Wild, there were some shots there he wouldn't have taken if he was facing Robbo or Ding for instance.
He does tend to sometimes enter a burst of scoring and reel off quick frames in sucession, that can happen yes, but I think Stuart will have a say and this Final could be close if he plays like he did this afternoon.

Bingham hasn't the character to win this final.
Rigsby 10-6 here.

Very surprised to see Bingham leading, playing solid snooker, whilst Ronnie hasn't exactly fired on all cylinders either. That miss on the black in the third frame was pathetic and his safety is also far too loose, at times. It's almost as if he expected this match to be a foregone conclusion... or maybe he really is mentally tired. It wouldn't surprise me if he was.
Anyway, Bingham has shown he is more than mere cannon fodder, and actually has a realistic chance of winning this. Ronnie needs to come out sharp and focused, as he can't keep being behind because as the match goes on the more confidence Bingham will gain.
mentally tired?
he must be a mental midget if that's the case.

It's a pity someone didn't tell Hendry he was in the entertainment business.

Hey Look! Hendry was boring, O'Sullivan is boring, John Higgins is boring, Trump is very, very boring. We live in an era of characterless bores.
No more heroes anymore!

What a bunch of nagging cry babies you all are. It's pathetic. Hendry was a legend. Ronnie is a legend. They respect each other and so should we.

Yeah, he just had two hard matches against the two top players in the world, why should he feel tired?

Stop arguing over Hendry and O'Sullivan. We all know that this years WC runner up Hawkins or Masters and UK finalist Selby are going to be the new dominators in snooker.

I'm back!
I don't really know what happened in the afternoon match but it's nicely set up for a great evening session. Ronnie with a very important clearance in the last frame.

SO
Ronnie can't take Bingo for granted like he did this afternoon because some of the shots he played... let's just say he wouldn't take them on had he faced Robbo or Ding for instance.
it's nicely poised yeah, so I think you're in for a great evening session, could be really close.
