Hawkins about to win 10-4. Gilbert potted about 8 balls this session, played pretty shocking. Hawkins done well mind, given his shaky start yesterday.
As I say this, Hawkins out of position on 53.

And Barry finishes Gilbert off 10-4, barring snookers. One of the few comfortable matches this round.

There's been more misses in the Trump/Ford match than a blind archery contest.

Hawkins won 9 out of the last 10 frames. Impressive.

Well he'll have to improve massively for that to happen then.

He can always improve, provided he makes it through.

Best performances of the tournament so far have come from Barry and Fu's first session.
Ronnie despite not being brilliant wasn't too shaby either.

Remember when Mark Allen called Bingham a bottler, than Bingham won a ranking event before Mark Allen did?

Yeah I loved when Bingo won that Aussie Open even though I wanted Williams to win, a part of me wanted Bingo to win the Final purely because of Allen's comments about him.

Ford will still choke big time even if he goes 9-7 up.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I particularly want Judd to make the final, I just had a feeling that he might have a good chance. Nearly everyone picked Robbo so I wanted to stand out

Yes I picked Robbo too because I think after last year's nightmare he'll want to put things right.
Noticed the other day and it's crazy to think that after Robbo won his World Title in 2010 he has only won 2 more matches at the Crucible, and that came in 2012.
2011 and 2013 he went out first round.

Absolutely. Someone said during the qualifiers that he's basically a "Stevens Light" and I agree.

Trump at 65 percent pot success. Oh dear. Let's pretend this match never happened.

Will Trump and Ford be pulled off this session? If it carries on like this they may be asked to finish the match on the evening session.

My second choice would have been Carter. I think he will send Selby packing on Friday

Yes I'm sure Trump will win this, but he shouldn't be happy with the way he's been playing. The standard has been poor so far.
