Carter double fails and it's 3-1.

Mavis
Three in a row now. Probably a bit too late to start playing well though...

Mavis
Dale though will have to win at some point, don't think we'll see a Mavis comeback from 9-2 down.

They should've had both last 32s on this afternoon really. Both sessions finishing very quickly wasn't going to be a problem.

Some of us expecting a Carter win and for all we know Selby could win the match confortably
It's only the first session though, a lot of snooker to be played in that match.

Really?
I didn't see his first round? Was he
that bad?
I'd still make Selby favourite.

Carters safety game not good enough today. Selby playing much better than in his previous match.

Dammit, was hoping Dom finished Mavis off before this frame ended so Carter and Selby could have the last three frames with the wall up.

Selby must feel like playing in the quarters. I mentioned it yesterday or like that. With all respect to Doherty/McManus but they won't be a danger for Selby.

And Mavis now needs snookers, otherwise it's 10-5 Dom.

And Dom knocks in the yellow
Mavis can now steal the frame.
