No, it isn't. Making a maximum at the crucible has been done so very few times. Making 3 has been done only twice. Making 100 centuries when entering every single tournament would have been done by Ronnie and by hendry and by Ding had they entered that many frames.
It's not as big an achievement as it is being made out to be. It's good, but not that good. And to celebrate like that is just ridiculous. If he loses the match, he will look ridiculous.
The crucible has been going decades, and maximums have been extraordinarily rare. Making 16 centuries in 1 tournament only once. It's only recently that we have had so many frames to be played.

A max is 'only' 36 shots. 100 tons is at least 2600 shots.
