Mags and co. need to lose weight. Ronnie is very particular about staying in shape. It's no coincidence that as soon as the players blob out, they decline. Age is a factor as well, but being overweight doesn't help.

Allen has gained weight this season and still managed to reach 4 finals so far, winning one, so it all depends on the player.

Age is overrated though. I think different players peak at different times but it can be hard to maintain motivation. We have seen instances in recent years of players peaking in their later 30's,so as long as a player still has that desire then they might still produce some of their best stuff in what are typically considered to be advanced years for a pro sportsman. Of course though, it isn't the same for everybody. Good example is these overweight players; if they really cared then they'd get in shape and improve their game a little bit further. Life obviously changes which can tend to correlate with being ''older'' such as having children and priorities changing but this could happen as early as 20 or as late as past 40.

Happy Mags at least is making Judd battle hard for it and not winning like 6-0 or 6-1.
Hopefully he makes it 5-3 and then who knows..

Anyway, if Mags makes it 5-4 then things will get very very interesting, otherwise Judd wont be feeling the nerves just yet.

If you think about it Maguire could have won this match 6-0 by now, he had at least 1 great chance every frame.
