This match shows why Mark Allen hasn't won more titles so far in his career. His drop of standard from Wednesday is just ridiculous.

It's a fine line between exciting and pathetic Wild.

Exactly SO, a Robbo or Ronnie would have destroyed this kind of Perry.

As a fan of the Gentleman I am disappointed with the first session.
He had good chances in every frame, but he managed to win only one. 3-1 is very flattering for Allen, considering the way he has played.
The comeback is very difficult now.

This masterclass was great, much better than Steve's ones anyway.
Also enjoyed Murphy's interview, and Hendry is right, he needs to have a more killer instinct and dont try to be a nice guy all the time if he truly wants to win more Major tournaments, like this Masters.

Yea Steve Davis plays for laughs and he ends up giving zero advice.

Bad miss from Perry. Nothing really safe for Allen. Has he been playing well enough to make the clearance?
Edit: Nevermind, Allen gave me the answer

Despite his mistakes, Perry clinches the fifth frame to make it 3-2.
Still there is hope...

"Exciting" isn't a word I would use to describe the anticipation of a professional snooker player missing a simple pot.

Imagine Perry making the Final
that would be the most unlikeliest Finalist since cheating Lee in 08, even more than Lee I would imagine.

He won't get past Murphy or Maguire. And he hasn't got past Allen yet.

And he has many possibilities to get a fourth, as well, despite his latest childish mistake.

What an excruciatingly poor match this is. The winner should use the extra £25,000 he earns to refund the people left in the arena at the end.

This match is laughably bad.
I think they've both missed more than they have potted.
