LUCA :D

Starts working with Chris Henry and all of a sudden things change for him.

Hopefully this means more great performances from him to come.

Yes, If Day wins his match then I'm thinking they'll probably show Day - Luca on TV

Ding getting a first round loss YET AGAIN rofl rofl rofl

WHAT?!

1-4 against 41 year old Lee Walker (!) rofl

This truly is a new low for Ding Junhui.

What about Ronnie. How did he play?

IF you read some previous yesterday's comments you'll know.

In short, first match v Calabrese he was a bit kamikaze mode, once having to clear up the table in the 2nd frame to win it but he did it with exhibition shots <laugh> He then said the arena is like playing in a car boot sales and a bit like an aircraft hangar.

2nd match v Rory he went 2-0 down missing everything all over the place. Rory should have won the 3rd frame too, he didnt, and from then Ronnie found some form, made a 90, 100+ and dominated the last frame to win.

He just wanted to get the first day out of the way as soon as possible.

Now the conditions should be better so this is when the real tournament starts for him.

I'm currently trying to get through all these pages that mounted up since Monday.

Hopefully Ronnie's attitude will improve. I'm really looking forward to his match against Stevens. First time they played since their 2012 Worlds semis, right?

Yes it is.

I also think his attitude will improve, he has forgotten that first day now, he was too conscious of the fact he lloved the Newport arena and that this one is like an aircraft hangar <laugh>

He said he couldnt care if he won or lost playing in these conditions, but when he reached the Last 32 he said now the conditions will be better with only 4 tables and the real tournament starts for him.

Treat this like his comments about conditions at UK Champs, it was similar.

I think he'll improve, if he doesnt Stevens can beat him, having come through 2 deciders already against Oliver Lines and Doherty. Should be a good match.

It's amazing that Stevens managed to win 2 deciders in a row, isn't it? <laugh>

I watched some bits of the Selby v Campbell match and the arena indeed looked horrible. Especially just one week after that magnificent arena in Berlin.

This why best of 7s are useless. The tournament could be best of 9s with the same schedule.

Why you think its because this?

It's a very good choice of matches, maybe some would have liked Selby v Ebdon to be on TV but they can't please everybody I guess.

It's still a good choice though.
