The main and six red African Championship is at last 'in place' with a Pro Tour card awaiting the winner of the main Championship, and as previously, the Six Reds winner qualifying for World Six Reds.
The tournaments to be held in Johannesburg South Africa from 12th to 21st August. So the winner of the Tour Card will be starting very late. Per their Facebook posting, African Snooker are sending invitation, travel and accommodation letters out this week (I presume to national governing bodies).

Mohamed Ibrahim lost in Last 32 to Shakeel Kalideen (who'd only placed 3rd in his group)
Last 16 was
Hesham Shawky (Egypt) v Kevin Shelver (South Africa)
Omar Ramy (Egypt) v Abdel R Shaheen (Egypt)
Amir Al Tahtawy (Egypt) v Michael Davids (South Africa)
Salman Moosa (Mauritius) v Kiashan Moodley (South Africa)
Mutalieb Allie (South Africa) v Yougash Pillay (South Africa)
Shakeel Kalideen (South Africa) v Naitali Mourad (Morocco)
Arjun Lavingia (Tanzania) v Mahomed Idrisse (Mozambique)
Mervyn Donnely (South Africa) v Hatem Yassen (Egypt)
Can't see anything that shows results of last 16 unfortunately, although played this evening. Nothing on Cuetracker yet. Still one table streaming a last 16 match I think, Idrisse against Lavingia has reached a decider.
Before the main tournament's knock out stages, seniors champion was Charl Jonck of South Africa (qualifies for 2025 World Seniors), Women's champion Chantelle Penny (also South African) and Six Red champion Omar Ramy (Egypt).

Disappointed that WST decided against reserving a place in the Saudi Masters for the newly crowned African champion.

Fully agree with that ... don't get the logic of not having a place
