Disappointing that Sean O'Sullivan, in pole position to earn a tour card (Si Jiahui having already obtained his), receives no reward for his performances so far on QTour and is obliged to play two qualifying rounds.

think it's determined by the q school order of merit from last year ain't it. o'sullivan had a bit of a mare losing early in all three events, including to a certain tony knowles!

all a bit silly given the effect that the random draw has on the outcomes of q school.

Sean O'Sullivan out in the qualifiers having been beaten by Patrick Whelan. A nervous wait for him to see if he has a tour card then.

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

Postby HappyCamper

good news for o'sullivan's chances, as michael white and david lilley have both lost first round.

there are a few players who could usurp him but only with a tournament victory
Ben Mertens, Julien Leclercq, Alex Millington, Harvey Chandler, Daniel Wells, & Simon Bedford

That would appear to explain why Sean O'Sullivan had to qualify.

Strangely, though, Daniel Wells and Simon Bedford, having played qualifiers in the first three events, were both elevated directly into round one in Leeds.

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

Quarter finals:
Michael Georgiou v Simon Bedford
Robbie McGuigan v Hamim Hussain

Alex Clenshaw v Brandon Sargeant
Michael Collumb v Liam James Davies

Young Liam Davies has done very well, having come through three qualifiers then beating a couple of former pros Si Jiahui and Lawler.

Bedford can pinch the automatic tour slot with overall victory. And all of the above have secured a place in the play offs for the second card.

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

Sean O'Sullivan has Simon Bedford standing between him and a place on Tour.

Both been there before Simon turned pro in 1995 a year after Sean was Born.

Simon Bedford last pro match was in the 2013 UK Championship 9 years on can he come back?

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

Postby Wildey

From 3-0 down Robbie McGuigan beats Simon Bedford 4-3 to reach the final and in so doing gave Sean O'Sullivan a 2 year tour card.

Simon Bedford had a 100% pot success and Maguigan 99%

Michael Collumb v Robbie McGuigan for the title

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

David Lilley

Michael Collumb
Robbie McGuigan
Simon Bedford
Michael White
Julien Leclercq
Alex Millington
Alex Clenshaw
Harvey Chandler
Daniel Wells
Brandon Sargeant
Liam Davies
Alfie Lee
Michael Georgiou
Hamim Hussain

As we know there are all sorts of sanctions put on Russian people and Anton Kazakov could be affected with that hope not hardly his fault what's happened he's won a place on tour and he's in this season World Championship

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

Postby HappyCamper

kazakov is ukrainian, no?

ivan kakovskii is the russian player. he was way down the q school order, so don't think he'll be likely to attend anyway.

young robbie mcguigan wins 5-3, having been 2-0 down!

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

if Michael White qualifies to the Tour via the 1-year list, his place at the Q-Tour play offs will be taken by Ryan Davies.

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

Postby HappyCamper

play-offs will be 10th-11th may at the q house academy, darlington.

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

Postby Vallomas

If both Michael White and David Lilley get fresh Tour Cards (by qualifying to the Crucible or the 1 year list), there will be place for the Q-Tour play offs not only for Ryan Davies, but for Mark Lloyd too.

Re: Q Tour 2021/2022

Robbie McGuigan [1] v Mark Lloyd [16]
Harvey Chandler [8] v Daniel Wells [9]
Julien Leclercq [5] v Alfie Lee [12]
Simon Bedford [4] v Michael Georgiou [13]

Michael Collumb [3] v Hamim Hussain [14]
Alex Millington [6] v Liam James Davies [11]
Alex Clenshaw [7] v Brandon Sargeant [10]
Ben Mertens [2] v Ryan Davies [15]

Eighth and quarter finals to be held on 10th May, then remaining rounds on the 11th. All matches best of seven except the final which will be best of nine.

and also some more byes in Q-School when one of these qualifies for the tour. Be great if Ben or Liam win. But probably be Georgiou or Bedford

Leclercq knocked in 3 centuries (130, 120, 116) to beat Alfie Lee 4-0. He's the first through to the play off quarter final.

4 50+ breaks from Liam Davies in his 4-0 win. McGuigan also through 4-0; no 50s.

To my mind, Clenshaw is the least heralded, but that may be my ignorance!

other match gone to a decider.

decider won by clenshaw.

so the final is leclerq vs clenshaw. winner will make their debut on the pro tour next season. leclerq looks the favourite.

leclercq wins 5-2.

the belgiums are coming!
