Down to the last eight. Mostly familiar names. A bit of a surprise in 19 year Jack Haley, who knocked out Andrew Higginson, amongst others, on the way.

Hamim Hussain v George Pragnell
Rory McLeod v Gao Yang
Jack Haley v Ashley Carty
Martin O'Donnell v Daniel Wells

Pragnell reaches his 2nd final in a row.

Carty looks like taking the MOD to a decider in the other semifinal

Notable name in the qualifying draw is Chinese ex pro Luo Honghao, who missed out on Q School due to travel issues.

Also Belgian, Thor Van De Voorde-van Bocxlaer. Whose name is quite long.

<laugh>

I hope Andre is practising that one already.

probably will be shorten to thor van or something it seems stylish to do that these days

George Pragnell is having a Great season Runner up in both Q Tour to date and already in the Quarter Final of the 3rd

Harvey Chandler against Farakh Ajaib in the final.

Ajaib was due to play in the NI open, so he has withdrawn from that to play in the final.

Robbie McGuigan opted to play in NI rather than Mons.

It was never an option to play Saturday and Sunday in Belgium and get back to Northern Ireland for a potential first round loser against Hawkins

Q Tour is more important for him.

Re: Q Tour 22-23

Probably a wise decision as Ajaib wins 5 to 3.

event four to start on friday. in stockholm, sweden.

https://snookerscores.net/tournament-ma ... r/knockout

former shoot out champion robin hull among the entrants.

top four on the rankings so far, a long ways in front of fifth place. so likely the tour card will fall to one of them:
1 Ross Muir 3400
2 George Pragnell 2950
3 Farakh Ajaib 2925
4 Martin O'Donnell 2925

Esa Kaikumaa of Finland provides a shock by knocking out Luo Honghao.

Robin Hull wins his first two matches

daniel wells withdraws, as he is playing john higgins in the german masters qualifying.

as does zhao jianbo, who whitewashed mark allen earlier in the week.

My neighbour tells me that he knows someone who uses something called an inferweb. No idea what he's talking about

yeah, wpbsa and wst both publish their fixture lists. i just remembered seeing wells in the german masters draw and thought to check the other.

robin hull beat michael georgiou in the shootout champions shootout to reach the quarter finals. where he will face the talented youngster liam davies. george pragnell continues his remarkable consistency of reaching at least that stage of all q tour events this season.

George Pragnell [2] v Andrew Higginson [17]
Brian Ochoiski [26] v Kuldesh Johal [30]
Billy Joe Castle [15] v Farakh Ajaib [3]
Robin Hull v Liam Davies [54]

Ross Muir competed in both. Zhao Jianbo could have competed in both providing he didn't have a visa issue. Daniel Wells had to choose and must be delighted to have qualified for Berlin. That he had the opportunity, given his QSchool Order of Merit ranking, it would appear that Steven Hallworth turned down a German Masters place and opted for Stockholm.

Sounds like an exciting finish, as former pro Castle wins the decider on a respotted black.

daniel wells beats sydney wilson 5-2, to take your event five. he moves up to third in the race for a world tour card.

Possibly been beneficial to Wells that he actually lost to Adam Duffy at the Q School with all the practice on the Q Tour he's got since then.
