Hell start talking with an Australian Accent, play shots left handed and get in a strop?????

Re: Q School 2019

A half century from Vahedi has given him the first frame against Snowy O’Sullivan.

Re: Q School 2019

Postby aimlesswandeer

Kleckers vs Hugill looks slow going - 35 seconds and 43 seconds AST at the moment. Hugill’s AST has been high throughout the tournament,

Re: Q School 2019

Postby aimlesswandeer

Another half-ton from Vahedi gives him a 2-0 lead. Mingqi is winning the battle of the teens by the same score. Hugill and Kleckers still in the opening frame.

Both Hugill and Kleckers was avaraging 30+ throughout the season. thats their natrual pace.

It’s not exactly helped them... Maybe if they sped up a bit they might win more matches.

Snowy’s turn to make a big break. A high quality match, 2-1 to Vahedi.

Re: Q School 2019

English teen Maddocks 2-1 up on Akbar. O’Neill 2-1 ahead of Lin Shuai (is she not in the James Wan horror films?)

Yes, and it will be tough for them if they expect to win two 4-hour matches back-to-back today, with only half-hour gap and no mid-sessions.

Five half-tons in the opening four frames between Vahedi and Davison.

Kleckers wins an 80 minute first frame. It’s very unlikely the winner will be ready for a 1pm start.

Don’t tell them that. They’ll be up for the challenge!

Another half-ton from Davison, who now leads 3-2.

Jamie O’Neill first man through to the final round after a 4-1 win over Lin Shaye.

Vahedi responded with a 50+ break but it wasn't enough to win the frame. Q-school specialist OS one frame away of the final round.

David Lilley is also doing well against the Chinese kid. I want to see him going through, he has lost so many "last minute" chances.

Re: Q School 2019

Hugill looks like he’s given away about 40 foul points against Kleckers. A mere 35 minutes sod far in the second frame.

They will be ready by 1am I think.

Xu Si and David Lilley are through the final round.

Re: Q School 2019

Irish teen Ross Bulman awaits the winner of Vahedi vs Davison, which looks to be going the distance.

Hugill and Kleckers still in frame 2...

Re: Q School 2019

Ross Bulman faced Jimmy White on the 1st round of 2019 WSC qualifiers.

Vahedi Just beat Davison on the final black.

Tough loss for the Q-school Master.

A shame either player had to lose.

A shame either Kleckers or Hugill will win.

Interesting contrast between players season-long form with Lilley to play Maddocks for a place on tour - Sean Maddocks, only managed 8th place on the English Snooker Junior tour whilst David Lilley was the top player on the English Snooker Amateur tour this year (won two of the six tournaments).

And of course the contrast in their ages (Maddocks 17 and Lilley 43).

Instinctively I like seeing new young players on tour, but what with the English Snooker and Challenge Tour form, would be quite pleased to see Lilley gaining a Pro Tour place ... but won't be too disappointed to see Maddocks win ...

Yes I agree. I am very keen to see young players coming through. But David Lilley deserves a lot of credit for his commitment. He's entered almost all of the amateur tournaments for many years, and come very close on so many occasions. He has shown this season he's not out of his depth on the tour.

David Lilley although never been on tour has bee in a ranking quarter final and recorded a win over Mark Williams on the way to that quarter final

Re: Q School 2019

Will Hugill and Kleckers finish their first match before any of the second matches have finished? It looks like they might be heading for a decider.

It looks like Jamie Cope has pulled out of Q2. A bye for Craig Farrar.
