Silly me (re : Drago :emb: )

Is BT the disarming smile of a young Rod Lawler? :chin:

Re: Tiny ones

Postby Empire State Human

Indeed it is. Lawler, aged 18, back in the days when he was known as Rod 'Boy Racer' Lawler for tearing up and down Merseyside docks at 120mph in his Mazda RX-7.*

* may be a complete lie.

BY - Mostly I'm posting this because I'm in awe of his hair.

BZ - A bunch of people you could potentially identify here, but I'm after the guy in the back row, 5th from right.

BZ is John Street - a very fine referee indeed.

A better hair-day! :chuckle:

Feel like I should get BN; kids got a distinctive face for sure, but can’t quite make the click.

BV, no idea; the more I look, the less it looks like anybody

BX could be Brady Gollan, I think.

Is CA Spencer Dunn?

The qualifier who I believe had to win a record number of qualifying matches to get to the Crucible (11, I think)

Re: Tiny ones

Postby Empire State Human

No right answers.

BN - The hundred break which the photo commemorates was a record.

BV - Not Fouldsy, but correct era. Winner of a (i.e. one) ranking event.

BX - A pro on the circuit from 1991 to 2010. I tried to look up his wikipedia page to see what his most notable finish or biggest scalp was as a pro, but it's probably telling that wikipedia has never heard of him.

CA - I would say his most famous match was one he lost at the Crucible to a top seed.

CB - New one:

Not bad. :)

CI is sneaky. I'll be amazed if anyone gets it.

CJ Michael White?

Re: Tiny ones

Postby Empire State Human

Oops, missed a bunch of posts.

CB isn't Allen.

Iranu is correct - CC is O'Donnell.

BSP is right with Carrington and Michael White.

... And Robbie Williams, too.

Cj’s eyes remind me of Ryan day

Re: Tiny ones

Postby Empire State Human

CJ is Michael White - BSP got there first.

But yeah, you've got them all except for CI.

Also outstanding from earlier posts and a few more clues:

BN - The hundred break was a TV record.

BV - Voice is more famous nowadays than his face.

BX - Try imagining him without hair.

CA - He played Parrott at the Crucible.

CB - A hero of Snooker Island.

BV- Virgo?

Re: Tiny ones

CA is Bradley Jones, I think

CB, “a hero of Snooker Island”. Hmmm. It’s not J-Bags is it???
