Surely it can’t be good to be relying on Cazoo for so many tournaments?

It’s deeply concerning at this level.

I think I made a comment about this somewhere before, something along the lines of it becoming slightly concerning snooker seems to be now relying on one company for it's income, let alone an industry. And this was before Cazoo was announced as the title sponsor for the World Championship. <doh>

Maybe that's where The Century Club is going? rofl

They should have a lottery of 50 cars valued from £2,000-£20,000. Pay 5k to have your name in the hat.

No, but they have to look for alternatives to Betting Firms.

And who knows if Now Cazoo has the big one they won't be renewing contracts for others and WST will have to get out there and get others involved ASAP.

I doubt it. They sponsor nearly all the Major tournaments in PDC darts now.

It's absolutely necessary to look for alternatives to betting companies. They are finding out the reason why they couldn't get other companies to sponsor tournaments though. It's a very tough environment.

So now instead of relying on one industry, they are relying on one company.

interestingly cazoo have announced they are axing 15% of their workforce in a cost cutting measure. they have also ended a sponsorship agreement with everton football club. since floating on the stick market it has lost ~80% of it's value. the snooker deals won't be worth anywhere near as much as football ones, but is certainly is a concern.

Certainly is. The fact they floated on the stick market has to call their board into questions regarding their competence; it’s just so careless at that level. :hmmm:
