Still he says he wants to carry on playing snooker until he's 50
And I'm 100% sure he will.Despite everything he says, Snooker's in his blood, he loves the game too much to quit.
Yeah, he's definitely more Steve Davis than Steven Hendry in that regard...

Liang definitely. He was in absolutely prime position on three or four occasions and still messed it up. The final black was just the climax of all that.
Fu on the other side was unlucky because of a huge kick (I think he'd have won that match had that not happen) and then the green with the rest which obviously was a choke.
But as I said. Wenbo is known for choking. Did it in the English Open as well. Trump just choked as much as he did.
I just had this feeling like Hendry apparently had that he won't manage to get over the line and he didn't.

Liang definately chocked harder than Fu.
ANd like TR says he did it also at the English Open, but Trump was abysmal towards the end too.

With what happened this match I think this is destined to be Ronnie's Tournament.

With Robbo not playing great atm and Carter being Ronnie's bunny, Ron should really reach the Semis, where things could get harder if he faces Trump or Higgins for instance...
And we've seen it a few times too... a player is a few balls away (or in this case one ball away) from losing the tournament, he wins that match and ends up winning the whole thing... Same thing happened with Perry here in 2009.

Hendry's wasn't as easy as it looked, but maybe you're right... Liang chokcked badly here has to be said, a trend of his in his whole career.

Mathew Stevens against John Higgins at the Worlds 2004 also springs to mind...

2008 maybe? Though he lost with a good deal of comfort 10-5.
2001 might be the one he's meaning. Higgins defeated Stevens 17-15 in a last frame which lasted an hour

Eurosport mention the controversial yellow.
The referee is at fault, in my opinion. Not Ronnie.
It is also my opinion that the BBC refused to mention because it benefitted Ronnie.

Liang only missed that ball because he was playing Ronnie at the Masters!
If it had been a non-televised qualifier against Joe Swail, he WOULD have potted it!
It makes an utter farce of the argument that players 'raise' their game against Ronnie! On the contrary, the majority of lower ranked players under-perform against him.
I've no idea why Liang bottled that black - Ronnie is a pale-shadow of his former self.
