Yes truly! :D  :hatoff:

The man is a freaking legend, we are priviliged to watch him play!

WN1 and now a record tying 36 ranking titles!

Looking at the stats he played okay tbh, scored ten 50+ breaks and his long potting was fine as he was mostly always first in the frames and still it felt he could do better lol

Strange match in the end.

The match against Judd felt bigger and was higher quality.

Yeah that match was one of the very best I've seen.

It felt like a bigger affair. Both weren't at their best today like Neil mentioned, but towards the end ROS was fired up and showing grit to win. :hatoff:

The man is that good. Even when you think he plays poorly he scores like a machine. When Selby or Higgins have a bad day they struggle to make a 60 break.

Bodes well for Sheffield.

Still think he needs to work out a thing or two in these 3 session matches... at The Crucible he cant afford to have more than one bad session.

Yeah I'm surprised that's what the stats show. The match felt like he made 6 or 7 breaks but his scoring is there. Strange match.

Where is vodkadiet to remind us that only world titles count?

He was one second away from making one of his legendary comments. But Judd missed that yellow.

If that was the case then the season would consist of World Champs only. Back to the good old Joe Davis era!!!

If there's a reason this match has been this close its because of some poor misses from ROS while he was in.

Trump is the only player atm who can probably match Ronnie. Higgins and Selby are the others but probably not with their current form.

I agree. Ronnie made life difficult for himself today. Robbo is a superb player but for some reason he can't push Ronnie like he does the Higgins or Selby for example. He's struggling to get his A-game to the table.

Trump however comes into his element playing Ronnie and really can get under Ronnie's skin with his insane potting and will to win.

Man a freaking legend... enters half the tournaments then the rest, but snatches WN1 spot from the man who has held it for 5 years! :hatoff: :hatoff: :hatoff:

Probably twiddling off to that little bit of attention you just gave him now.

Amazing achievement, when you consider that Ronnie skips the lucrative Chinese ranking events whereas Selby dominates them...

He had to delete an entire hour's work right there on the spot

You're right.... ignoring is the best option.

Let's see:

Without winning the Crucible which offers an insane amount of money close to 500k compared to any other tournament
Without playing any of the Chinese ranking tournaments which offer minimum 150k this year
Without getting free points in different stages (like QF, SF) of other ranking tournaments he didn't enter
Shanghai Masters turning into a non-ranking tournament which offers a whooping 200k that doesn't count.

That's an incredible effort!

Well played, Ronnie. Yet more history created.

Even a mere 18 months back I don't think many would have given Ronnie much chance of beating Hendry's tally of ranking titles. It was always one of those records that seemed beyond anyone's reach.

An amazing achievement. :hatoff:

Yep, earlier today they played the shots of the tournemant and Trump was up for more than half, amazing shots, but he never got picked, top 3 went to Robbo (2) and Ronnie (1) according to the experts. I particularly liked Trumps swervy shot, thought that was great.

He’s been fortunate with draws avoiding Slessor and Holt

Great stuff again from Ronnie, it's now just a matter of whether he can see through 30+ frame matches with this current form and then he'll be almost unstoppable at the WC. Glad to see Neil hung in there too and made a fight of it, but he made a worrying amount of sloppy mistakes with relatively easy pots. Would love to see this rematch again in Sheffield
