If any top up player earns enough money to get in to the top 64 they will be ranked inside the top 64 and on a one year card like others inside the top 64.

How did Cahill get his Tour card for next year?

But if you're an amateur you're not on the Tour in the first place so not even 128th ranked.

Jack should've been 3-1 up. If he can cut out some choking he could win this match easily. He's playing well and being the aggressor to make things happen. I wonder if Jack gets motivated when he sees Trump through and Kyren potentially going through his match, I know he hasn't got the titles but they're all around the same age (27-29) and contemporaries I guess.

so if cahill gets to the semi finals he'll have a one year card but keep his points; anything less he gets two years but starts with nought?

500 000 grand and he would still be unranked lol..

Would he not be number 2 seed for every tournament next season if he won the world title?

But he's an amateur? not on Tour...

But you're probably right.
if cahill had won the paul hunter or the gilbratar he would be top seed as defending champion and if he won the worlds he would be first on at the crucible next year that's hearn's clearer system for you

he has enough points from his various wilcards on the one year list to be in the top 8 of those not already with a tour card for next year.

Via the one year list hes 59th and 2nd behind Eden Sharav as top 8 players who are not in the top 64.

Personally this Amateur tag is wrong they all play on a secondary tour to get a tour card as a non tour player James had to pay to enter all ranking events he payed £700 to play in the World Championship Tour players get in for nothing.

I haven't seen that much of Jack. Last year's worlds was the first I saw more than a few mins. I'm not surprised to hear he's a choker as his cue action is top class so something has to explain his lack of results

It's so disappointing to see all the top players play out of their skin and demolish their first round opponents, while Ronnie couldn't be fussed and played like a marmite.
And to add salt to the injury, Juddy also seems to be in poor form. He barely scrapped through.
Also Allen is out.

Meanwhile, the villains of the snooker world all made it past the first round. In case most don't get it, I'm talking about Selbo and Higgo. :-(

All flair players are heroes, and all grinders are villains. :-)
I thought u knew that by now. :?

Alex Higgins was the primordial hero, the first of his kind. The first king of the flair players.
Then he passed on his crown to Jimmy. who in turn passed it on to Ronnie.
In the future, Ronnie will pass it on to Judd.

Thorburn was the primordial villain. All current grinders are direct descendants of his.

Anyway, I won't say more cause Wildey will ban me. :-(

If it gets to ridiculous proportions i will.

Every year all this rubbish gets more and more boring and last year i had a lot of complaints from fans about it.

Jack is a lot younger and still has some time. Dave has been a pro a long time and realistically won't reach the same level that Jack can still possibly reach

Where's dancat?

Dan doesn't like Jack for his snooker.

Paying attention on lives cores and forum but think Carter will be too crafty for Lisowski.
