WS International Championship Last 64 and Heldover Matches !

Sunday 4th- Sunday 11th of August at the Baihu Filming Base, Daqing, China

After missing a flight to Riga a few players Former World Champion Neil Robertson included has lost ground to make up in Daqing.

But also in daqing is Riga Masters Champion Yan Bingtao and Runner up Mark Joyce who both will be hoping to build on their success in Riga although the field has been boosted this week with the appearances of World Champion Judd Trump and the beaten finalist in the last 3 World Championship John Higgins.

Mark Selby who has been strugling for form badly will also be there having beaten Sam Baird impressivly in Ponds Forge during qualifying.

Who will reach the last 32 and keep on track for the second ranking title of the season?

I do not know but my guess would be that they do not.

Would be interested to know that.

Hotels, plane tickets, visa, entry fee.. must cost players nearly £2k for one Chinese tournament.

The loser of these held-over matches will be paid £2,000 by World Snooker as a contribution towards their travel costs. For the avoidance of doubt, this money will not count towards their world ranking.
