Winning the scrappy frames could be the deciding factor in this. Should be a good conclusion later whatever happens next.

I think Ronnie has been fortunate to make it this far, considering how rusty he is right now. He's had to rely on Wilson bottling it, and Robertson's tip breaking. If it weren't for those things, he wouldn't have made runner up here. He certainly won't be winning any tournaments this season if this is the sort of form he'll be bringing.

Murphy needs to win this frame to keep the pressure on.

Well Murphy going 5-4 blows SF's rather bold prediction!

Like Robbo yesterday it’s massive let off if he gets out of this even. Can only improve later on.

Murphy can’t punish. Fantastic yellow helps Ronnie level the match.
Set up very nice for later.

Murphy better player before the MSI and should have led 4-0.
Ronnie better after that till 4-3.
Should have won alls frames after the MSI werent it for lack of focus.
5-5 fair reflection

The good thing is that I don't think Ronnie will be able to play that badly in the second session.

Go figure...

I think considering he was starting to boil over, getting that frame and getting the **** out of there was the best thing that could have happened. That chimp is still in him isn’t it. Ronnie is less reluctant to scrap out the messy frames these days, but sometimes he just can’t keep a lid on his frustration.
Neither player should be too disappointed. Although it’s hard to judge who’d be the happiest of the two after the session.
A dramatic final session with a decider later please!
