Mostly I just want rid of Ebdon.
I've been trying to think of a way a transfer window could be brought in for next season (2020/21), but I'm not seeing where it could be done. I thought it might be possible to open it from the day the last ranking tournament of 2020 ends until the day the first ranking tournament of 2021 begins. But if it were like this year, the qualifiers for the European Masters and German Masters begin just two days after the Scottish Open ends. So people are likely to keep their powder dry and then transfer their players who haven't qualified for those tournaments in favour of those who have qualified for those tournaments.
There just isn't a space in the calendar that could allow a transfer window to be opened.
What I do think would work and would be a lot easier to administer is naming a team captain before every ranking event. This player's points would count double. A bit like Fantasy Football. If people don't name a new captain before an event, the captain they had for the previous ranking tournament will remain as captain.
Again, people would name a player that has qualified or will play in the upcoming tournament, but I don't mind that as it's an advantage that could apply to every tournament. Whereas if I had a mid-season transfer window, people will be playing the system for just two tournaments rather than the whole season.
