Just a mistake in the WST report. At the time Williams levelled against Dott, he became second in the group. But then Si got a point against Boiko, whereby he overtook Williams again. The official tournament site has Si correctly ahead of Williams.
Whilst commentators and the top players may laugh at the piffling £1000 increments, it's life or death to these lower-ranked players. Williams was 57th on last year's list, while Si is hoping for a 1-year list promotion, and has to pay entry fees as well (as an amateur top-up).
