Here is the winners group table as of close of play yesterday.
Zhao is bottom. I thought he would do better.

Now that's how you steal a frame! Zhao clinches the 1st frame against Dott.

It's not impossible we could have a repeat of the German Masters final tonight.

Nice swerve around the blue.
I was watching one of the matches yesterday on the other table & they interrupted the one I was watching to show this almost live, that's why it has commentary even though that table didn't have commentary.
I can honestly say, that is without doubt the most bonkers fluke I ever seen in all my years. What a calamity it happened in this tournament & barely anyone will clock it.

currently on a 13 break he has the table and frame pretty much at dream mercy. So he misses this red and leaves the frame... and match... at the mercy of his opponent:

Would it be a best of seventeen?

No, but it might take more time than their match in Berlin.

Higgins vs Liang Wenbo now, Liang has made a century to level at 1-1.

Yes, and that frame puts Liang ahead of Dott, who cannot now qualify. If Liang beats Higgins, then he qualifies along with Bingham, Higgins and Yan. If Liang loses, Zhao can qualify instead of him with a win against Donaldson.
