Vintage. We were spoiled.
I think Williams wins that against 99% of other players.

Yet another sickener for Williams, he deserved to win one of those esp against O'Sullivan. Fancied him all evening even when I tuned it at 5-7 and saw that Ronnie hadn't run away with it. But Ronnie's a much tougher nut these days, gota fancy him for the World Championship after that.

You don’t know snooker or Ronnie.
Bit of an unnecessarily nasty comment.
Great match tonight.
Ronnie always had the slight edge I felt

First the Masters loss for MJW, now this. Feel sorry for him
But my god did Ronnie play well all day!
One of the best matches these two have ever played between them.

Good match but it needed a Williams win to really put it over the top.

MJW may only have 1 win against ROS in the last 20 years, but most of the times Ronnie has to play out of his skin to beat him.

Most of the time Ronnie simply does just play out of his skin against Willo.

Yes, that was pure courage and bottle and those two shots alone got him back in to give him a chance to win.

Ronnie definitely seems to be playing pretty good against MJW all the time. Cant recall a single match where he played well below average.
Must be annoying for MJW but it is what it is.

Ronnie does nick the odd win against Higgins.
But fair to say some of Ronnie's performances against Higgins are truly shocking.

That’s what I mean.
Ronnie beats Higgins a lot but he almost never plays as well aa he does against MJW most of the time.

Not by much though. His record against Ron in multi session matches is pretty poor

Good he has a day off. With his age a match like that takes a lot out of a player.

MJW been involved in 2 great matches against the Class of 92 recently. Firstly against Higgins at The Masters, and now this. Both of them matches some of the best matches between them.
