In Scotch doubles it would still be the men doing most of the work because they’re the better players. The only difference would be frames and matches being a lot more fragmented and drawn out, and a lot less watchable.

Scotch doubles only works with players on the same level.

Scotch doubles might work if it was a more relaxed, jokey, exhibition environment.
