Murphys chances to win a 2nd World title are not bad at all. I think Ronnie and Selby are the two players he needs to avoid as I can't see Murphy beating them over 4 sessions (he could play Ronnie in the semis and Selby in the final).
Against anyone else I would make Murphy favourite at this very moment. That includes Judd in a possible quarter final encounter as Murphy has a good record against him and also beat him the last time they played at the Crucible.

Joe Johnson got the closest to beating the real and verifiable threat that is the Crucible Curse.
