Liam Davies – 2023 WSF Championship Semi-Finalist
Yang Gao – 2023 WSF Championship Semi-Finalist
Liam Pullen – 2023 WSF Junior Championship Runner-up
Iulian Boiko – 2023 WSF Junior Championship Semi-Finalist
Filips Kalnins – 2023 WSF Junior Championship Semi-Finalist
Martin O’Donnell – 2023 WPBSA Q Tour Winner
Liam Graham – 2023 EBSA European Under-21 Championship Winner
Bulcsú Révész – 2023 EBSA European Under-18 Championship Winner
Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan – 2023 World Women’s Snooker Champion
Ross Muir – 2023 WPBSA Q Tour No.2
Daniel Wells – 2023 WPBSA Q Tour No.3
Billy Castle – 2023 WPBSA Q Tour No.4
George Pragnell – 2023 WPBSA Q Tour No.5
Farakh Ajaib – 2023 WPBSA Q Tour No.6

No Room there for Ashley Carty who won the Q Tour play offs

Ash Carty was 55th on the Q School order of Merit so the chances he gets a spot as a Top up is unlikely to say the least

There is a reserve list, which will probably come into play. But with only 121 active professionals, there will be at least another 7 places available, perhaps via the Q School top-up list.

10 Haydon Pinhey
11Andrew Higginson
12 Michael Georgiou
13 Soheil Vahedi
14 Brandon Sargeant
15 Rory McLeod
16 Ben Mertens
17 Cheung Ka Wai
18 Luke Simmonds
19 Ben Hancorn
20 Peter Devlin

With 121 pros without the suspended players That's the list of Top Up players, the Top 7 is definitely in or been invited to make the draw up to 128 with the 16 wild cards making it 144.

The likes of Kurt Maflin, Andrew Higginson and Michael Holt has to wait to see if there are more spots available

Strange one

Not strange at all if their aim is to try and promote young talent. I would say that should take priority.

But I also suspect they will be keen to have Michael Holt and Kurt Maflin.

though they do have the main wsf open in addition to the wsf junior. so it ain't really consistent.

Of course they always got the option of thoes 7 places vacated by thoes suspended players.

we also know Stephen Hendry will play he wont pass up a chance of a best of 19 match can he win i doubt it but who knows.

I would like to see hendry in a best of 19 match. Maybe he could get going in a match that long.

They could do the draw as soon as the top-16 is confirmed. I expect the top-up places to come from the Q School Order of Merit, but it's not clear.

They don't need to wait. WST know which players are going to occupy spots 18-112. Everyone knows the rules for setting position 17 so could be called 'Player 17' for now.

Not clear who would replace any WPBSA invitee who pulled out, but haven't WST said top-up places to replace non-entered professionals will come from the 2022 QSchool UK Order of Merit?

Hope to see the names of Kurt Maflin and Akani Songsermsawad in the draw.

I think he said it was already done, but would be announced today. Rather than done today.

But yeah, being pedantic. It should be out today.

just adding the further nine players into this thread

Those nine players are: Steven Hallworth, Florian Nuessle, Ross Bulman, Ian Martin, Michael Holt, Haydon Pinhey, Andrew Higginson, Michael Georgiou and Soheil Vahedi.

Holt, Higginson and Goergiou have all been to the Crucible before during their spells as professionals, while the other six players will be vying for unlikely debuts at the sport’s most iconic venue.

No Sunny or Kurt

Also no Ash Carty or Bai Yulu. I would have thought they should be using these top-up places to give experience to players who could benefit. Carty will be on tour next season, and it's only a matter of time before Bai reaches the top of the women's game.

Is it Fraser Patrick? Apparently had neck issues meaning he can't get down on shots properly
