HI.
When player A does a foul, and player B can see right side of one red, and left side of another red, is that a free ball ?
(he can't see both sides of one red in this case)
The other day my opponent used black as a free ball, but then played a red after (he forgot black was free ball
) In other words he handed my some points for the foul. My qu. is, what is the penalty ? I assume it's 7 points.
Thanks

Yes that was a 7 point foul and it was a free ball if he couldn't hit left side and right side of the same red

I guess it is 7 points whatever colour you use as freeball, before you play a red ?

Yes if you play a free ball colour and pot it as a red then your break is 1, then if you go for a red forgetting it was a free ball it's the maximum penalty i.e. 7 point foul. The colour of free ball you take is irrelevent because it's an extra red for that one shot (assuming there are reds left on the table).

Yes, it is a foul. I've seen this in a televised match.
