At one point I thought he might only lead 5-4 from 5-1 up but two great frames at the end there pleased for him, hope he wont bottle it tomorrow, Davis will come out going for it and Dale might try to protect his lead too much.
Would love a wasley dale second round! But yes, the winner will lose to barry in quarter.

You must be pretty happy at the moment. Dale won a title this season and is just 3 frames away from a Crucible win! Not bad for the Spaceman

Over the moon! Finally had a half decent draw at crucible though after drawing Ronnie, Trump, Trump last 3 years so was due a nicer match. Still tough though and had to play decent stuff for the lead.

It's not just that he's leading, he's playing great stuff and looked the much stronger player of the 2. You don't have to worry too much, Dom won't let this one slip. And he has a great chance of even reaching the quarter finals!

14 years later and Dominic you would believe is pretty much certain to defeat the Number 13 seed in the first round and for a quarter-final place will face a youngster who has shocked the number 4 seed with a 10-9 win in the first round.

Anyone got any stats for that 13-1 thrashing of David Gray? Iccan't imagine how that would work! Did dale play awesome? Also how many other times has a 13-1 been achieved? I'm assuming a 13-0 definitely hasn't happened.

Williams won 13 frames in a row against Quinten Hann in 2003 but he only won 13-2.
