Absolutely, and hopefully the remaining 2 First round matches finish quick so that Carter v Selby and Ronnie v Perry have the whole arena for themselves.

Surely it would make a lot more sense for both L32 matches to finish in the afternoon and both L16 matches to start in the evening?

The lack of centuries is very telling.
The tables are slightly easier, but the standard of play has plummeted, generally speaking.

I don't think they are that easy. Since that outrageous Doherty match ball along the cushion I haven't seen any pots go in that shouldn't have.
Also the overall standard hasn't been the highest so far, you would expect the likes of Trump and Allen to knock in a few but they haven't.

Yes it worked out nicely this year. We can all watch the last 16 matches without too much distraction.

Terrible standard in the first round. Best matches in terms of quality were Carter/Xiao and Fu/Gould.
The Trump/Ford match was what you would expect from a 1st qualifying round match. Awful collapses from Gilbert and Holt. However, Ding Junhui was the player who disappointed the most.
The second round most surely see a vast improvement.

The huge super-massive question of the day.
Robbo has three more frames to win. How many centuries will he get?

I think that's why they do it.
Unlikely, but imagine both session were 9-0 going into the final afternoon session.

Got a feeling that Dale may have a bit of a wobble today but I can see him getting over the line.

And by Mark Allen, I mean World Snooker is quoting Mark Allen;

What I meant was, due to habit I forgot that there was no 10am session.
I'm sorry I didn't give due consideration to the thread title and opening post, and had a momentary slip of the memory.
