Overall Higgins leads 22-9

World Championship Higgins leads 2-0
Multi Session Matches Higgins leads 3-0
Finals Higgins leads 3-1

It's the Final of the World Snooker Championship, which will see a repeat of the 2011 edition between John Higgins and Judd Trump. Back then Trump was on a high, having just won the China Open before losing 18-15 to John Higgins.

Higgins made one of his trademark comebacks in the Semi-Finals, beating David Gilbert in a final frame decider, whilst Trump had no problems in dispatching Gary Wilson 17-11.

Trump has had his most consistent season to date, winning 3 tournaments, 2 ranking events plus the Masters, whilst Higgins threattened to retire after the UK Championship following poor performances, but a change of practice routine, now practising with fellow scots Maguire and McGill, has found his love for the game again, and once again into the Final, his 3rd consecutive one.

Will it be 3rd time lucky for Higgins or will Trump manage to beat his nemesis and rival John Higgins in the biggest stage of all? Remember Trump has only beaten him once in a match longer than Best of 7, a Best of 9 match. It shall prove harder than 2011 because he now has many battle scars. Can he do it and win it for the first time, or will Higgins claim his 5th title from 8 Finals and equal Ronnie O'Sullivan on 5?

Sit back and enjoy the final match of the season!!!

At least no amateur players.

You're obsessed with Ronnie. You dont have to bring him up in every context.

Higgins still doesn't like the schedule.

Problem is as well by the time the BBC Stops talking its 2.10 and then get boys on the Baize and Break off its closer to 2.20 before it starts

Yes, he was quite fortunate to avoid the amateurs who (astoundingly) have never lost to a top-10 player at the Crucible.

+1

The BBC needs to do what ITV does and start early.

He's a bit passive-aggressive. You'll get used to it.

I'm always calm. For some reason, Judd fans started throwing their toys out of their prams when I, calmly, said I didn't like Judd's style.

Probably. I just find it silly sometimes that he has to bring up ROS in every context whenever someone criticizes or has a go at Judd for whatever reason. But you get used to it.

I think he likes to wind Ronnie fans up. And he's good at it, so fair play.

If Higgins were to win, next year's media narrative would undoubtedly focus on how 2 of the 3 members of the Class of 92 had won the past 2 WCs and how fitting it would be if the 3rd member of the group were to win in 2020.

Said 3rd member would probably get tired of being asked about it, would feel even more pressure to win than normal, and would become even more compelled to sabotage his own chances...
